- Richard Petty joined with the NY
Yankees to pay tribute to the Yankee's 100 years in baseball. The
Petty's fielded Christian Fittipaldi in a special Yankee's 100th
Anniversary themed race car at Watkin's Glen. The car did not run
very well.
- Sammy Sosa was caught red handed
with a "corked bat" this season. The cork increases the
performance of the bat. Basically it makes the ball "fly" out of
the ball park.
