- 6.1 Carburetor Requirements
- WTC has gauges for the following carburetors:
(To add or approve any carburetor the
team must purchase and donate the appropriate guages requested
by WTC)
- Holly 4412 500 cfm 2bbl
- Holly 0-6895 390 cfm
- HP 0-80507 390 cfm
- Engines Option 1
- 325 cu. inches and under.
- Any 4 bbl or 2 bbl Carburetor
- May use Holly 4412 500 CFM 2 bbl carburetor
and receive 25 lb weight reduction
- Engines Option 2 (Sealed 602)
- Any 4 bbl
- May use Holly 4412 500 CFM 2 bbl carburetor
and receive 25 lb weight reduction
- No HP or XP Carburetors
- Must use 2 throttle return
springs
- Choke plate and shaft may be
removed
- The following items may be
changed
- Jets
- Power valve
- Accelerator pump
- Pump cam may be changed
- Discharge nozzles
- Throttle Plate
- Screws may be machined flush
with shaft
- Idle holes may be drilled
- Warning: Carburetor may be
rejected without reason.
It must be able to pass all WTC gauges
Do not alter it and you will have no issues
- Engines
Options 3 and 4,
325 cu. - 360
- Must use
Holly 4412 500 CFM 2 bbl carburetor or
390 4bbl carburetor
- No HP or XP Carburetors
- Must use 2 throttle return

- No carburetor rules at this time.
- Individual motors may have specific carb
and intake rules applied to maintain fair and equal
competition.
6.2
Spacer Plate
- 1 inch spacer place allowed
- Must be approved at inspection.
- Can be refused without reason
- No modifications
- Max gasket thickness 0.075
- Option 1-325 cu in and under may use air management spacer including the
"Super Sucker"
- No Spacer over $150.00 will be approved.
6.3
Air Cleaner
- 12 inches minimum
/ 18 inches maximum
- 5 inches maximum
height
- Must be totally
covered by hood
- No Air boxes are allowed
- Max air opening
between hood and windshield is width of the air cleaner
used.
Rear edge of hood must maintain contour of windshield.
Rear edge may have 4 inch Max vertical opening.

- 6.4 Fuel Systems
- Fuel Pump
- Stock type
- Block Mounted
- Electric pump permitted
- must be wired to shut down by battery disconnect switch
- must be wired to shut down by oil pressure switch.
- Fuel Lines
- Steel braided lines recommended
- No cooling devices of any type
- Lines must be steel conduit of passing through interior
- Only a steel fuel filter may be used.
- The use of a fuel check valve (Vacuum type) and standard
check valve on vent is mandatory.
- Vacuum check valve manufactured by Fuel Safe.
- Fuel Shut off
- Must be within reach of driver
- Must be accessible for safety personnel without leaning
into truck
- Clearly marked off and on
- Fuel
- ONLY approved fuel allowed
- Fuel must not mix with water or any additives
- Fuel Cell (New for 2018)
- Dates (Expiration - Fuel cells / Bladders within 6
years)

It
is highly recommended that the fuel cell bladder be no
more than six (6) years old.

Gas
cap must be painted white with the car number on it for
identification.
- 22 gallons maximum.
- must be mounted to the center of the chassis
- Minimum ground clearance 7"
- encased in steel container of no less than 22-gauge
steel.
- Minimum of (3) steel braces
- under fuel cell going from front to back of cell
- two braces on top for support.
- crash bar must be mounted at rear of vehicle to
protect fuel cell 1 ¾" tubing.
- Crash bar must utilize four vertical braces.
