- 6.1 Carburetor Requirements
- Option 1 / Option 3 motors
- Holley #4412 or #0-80583-1
- Jet change allowed
- Choke plate removal allowed
- Power valve change allowed
- Accelerator pump cam change allowed
- Accelerator pump discharge nozzle change
allowed
- Butterflies may be drilled
- Air vents may be enlarged
- No modifications to increase or change air
flow allowed.
- Option 2 motors
- Any 2 or 4 bbl carburetor allowed

Spacer Plate
- Option 1 / Option 3 motors
- 1 inch spacer place allowed
- Must be approved at inspection.
- Both top and bottom surfaces must be parallel.
- Port hole(s) must be vertical (90 degrees) to the surface
- No beveling,
- No tapering,
- No flaring.
- Can be refused without reason
- No modifications
- Max gasket thickness 0.075
- Option 2 motors
- Any 1 inch Spacer allowed
- Must be approved at inspection.
- Both top and bottom surfaces must be parallel.
- Max gasket thickness 0.075

Air Cleaner
- 12 inches minimum
/ 18 inches maximum
- Max 4 inch paper element.
- Must be totally
covered by hood
- No carb hats except 602 Option 2 motor
- No ducts, baffles or dividers
on or leading to the air cleaner except 602 Option 2
- Top and bottom of air cleaner must be
steel or aluminum
- Hood must be tight to windshield except
sealed 602 motor
- When 602 option is utilized teams may
open a 16.5 by 2.5 inch opening at rear of hood
- 602 option 2 only - Air box may be used
from windshield base opening to carburetor.

- 6.4 Fuel Systems
- Fuel Pump
- Stock type
- Block Mounted
- No electric, Belt, or Cam driven
- Fuel Lines
- Steel braided lines recommended
- No cooling devices of any type
- Lines must be steel conduit of passing through interior
- Fuel Shut off
- Must be within reach of driver
- Must be accessible for safety personnel without leaning
into truck
- Clearly marked off and on
- Fuel
- ONLY approved fuel allowed
- Fuel must not mix with water or any additives
- It is the responsibility of all teams to have approved
racing fuel if racing for 100% status
(i.e. point fund participation , etc.)
- Fuel Cell
- 16 gallons maximum.
- must be mounted to the center of the chassis
- Minimum ground clearance 10"
- encased in steel container of no less than 22-gauge steel.
- Minimum of (3) steel braces
- under fuel cell going from front to back of cell
- two braces on top for support.
- crash bar must be mounted at rear of vehicle to protect fuel
cell 1 ¾" tubing.
- Crash bar must utilize four vertical braces.
- No bars above or below rear bumper.
